Double jar feeder for your top bar hive, Warre hive or Langstroth hive. Our favorite feeder as it doesn't leak like many other designs, and it allows for twice the storage capacity of a boardman feeder.
To use in your top bar hive, simply place it in the bottom of your top bar hive on the side of the follower board with the bees. The feeder sits in such a way that the bees can still get under it. Monitor through the window to ensure the bees don't begin building comb around it, and as the syrup level gets low just reach in and refill. Otherwise you can drill a small hole in one of your dividers and place the feeder on the other side. This way the bees can't build comb around it.
For your Warre hive you can add it above the populated boxes surrounded by an empty box. Cut a flap in the center of your burlap/screen and place the feeder directly on top. This way the bees can move up into the feeder but not past it. Pull off your roof and quilt box to check the feed.
