Product Description

Our bundles of 10 top bars are precision milled from one piece of FSC certified Western Red Cedar, and feature a wedge comb guide to ensure straight comb attachment.

They measure 17 3/8" x 1 3/8", and are conveniently interchangeable with the bars within any Chandler-style horizontal top bar hives. These are the same bars we use in our own top bar hives at Bee Thinking!

Well Made, quality materials

I'm a new beekeeper but in comparison to many "home made" top bar hives that I have seen this is beautifully crafted out of gorgeous cedar. I expect to have these two hives for years to come.

Although my hive apparently isn't 'standard' size, I was able to easily adapt these really great bars to fit. Some of the wood continued to dehydrate after it was milled and the milling appears to have been done by hand so it's the final product is a little rough in spots, but it certainly doesn't impact usability.

Overall, I'm really happy to be able to put these cedar top bars in my hive.
