Bee Thinking Warre hives are precision-milled in Portland, Oregon using Western Red Cedar and come either assembled or unassembled (your choice). Our Warre hive kits feature full 1" thick lumber, rabbet joints, pre-drilled holes and screws for added strength and longevity. Sloped handles allow for improved rain run off and better grip when lifting. The precision milled, one piece top bars are unattached for compliance with most state and local beekeeping laws. Ships free to the contiguous 48 states -- international shipping available.

Choose between the standard wooden roof or the copper roof. We recommend sealing the wooden roof with tung oil (available on our website) to improve its longevity and rain run off. The copper roof looks great and will form a patina as it ages. The copper roof needs no sealing.
Our standard Warre hive comes with a screened bottom board and flat bottom. Improve the stability and looks of your hive by adding milled hive stand feet. Our basic Warre hive comes without window boxes. Add windows in each box to make inspection a breeze. Windows are also great if you've got friends or family who want to look in the hive without opening it up and bothering your bees! All of the parts on our Warre hives are pre-drilled for easy assembly with a power drill and a phillips head or square bit. Choose the assembled option and we'll assemble the hive for you!
