Beautiful hives! Martha Stewart would be pleased. More importantly, bees like it. A bit pricey but the wood quality and construction are primo. If you,re a first timer be sure and get the windowed hive bodies. Less stress on bees and you than opening up hive to check progress.
It's great and got quite a lot of interest at the local bee keepers club, when i displayed it assembled in the 60 minutes you say it takes, and talked on how it is intended to work with bee's of 'cause i got those who have done it there way for 30 years and just are not going to change, but got a lot thinking and wanting to check out your web site.
Sugar Pine is our value wood option. Beautiful, strong, takes paint or sealant well, and is more stable and lighter than more common ponderosa pine.
