    I have purchased two of

I have purchased two of these 10 frame deep hive kits. I love them and they are beautiful. I like the hive bodies, the inner covers and telescoping tops. I can say that I do not care much for the solid bottom board it cracked soon after we got it. Maybe it is the nature of cedar but I also had a bit of warping between the hive bodies that has been an issue for robbing. I ended up having to staple screen across the gap between the lower hive body and the upper one to keep robbers from entering the hive though the 4-5" long gap. I like the company, I think they are trying to deliver high quality products with some innovations for a reasonable price.

    I assembled it and set

I assembled it and set it out in the yard but didn't buy any bees this year. I thought I'd see if I captured a swarm. The pieces fit together well for the most part. I had to remove a little wood at a couple places of the box joints but I have sharp chisels so it wasn't a problem. The instructions listed different sizes of nails for the frames but the nails I got were all the same size and there were two packs more than I needed. My only disappointment was that it took a long time to get it.
