Warre Hive Roof

4   |

Warre hive roof precision-milled in Portland, Oregon using 7/8" kiln dried, FSC certified, sustainable western red cedar or sugar pine. Comes unassembled with assembly guide and includes quilt box and burlap. The unique shingled design of the roof looks great, insulates, and provides rain run off. We recommend filling the quilt box with cedar shavings to absorb moisture and retain the nest scent and heat. Beautiful composite copper with stainless steel screws can be applied to the roof for an additional charge.

  • Warre  roof featuring shingled design and high pitch for optimal rain runoff
  • Quilt box
  • 2 pieces of canvas for quilt
  • Stainless steel screws

        I really like the quality

I really like the quality of everything I buy from Beethinking. The packaging was well thought out, it arrived within two days of my ordering it, and the instructions for assembly were clearcut and easy to follow. I love the thickness of the wood. I can build boxes myself, but it's from thinner wood and not 'milled' to fit like Beethinking's boxes. All in all, I'd give them a solid 10.

          Good quality and fair price

Purchased the Warre Roof for another brand Hive. Much thicker wood used opn the Bee-thinking Warre product but still fit well. Will be purchasing more Warre hives from B-thking in the future.

Sugar Pine is our value wood option. Beautiful, strong, takes paint or sealant well, and is more stable and lighter than more common ponderosa pine.

Western Red Cedar is our premium wood option. It is rot resistant, dimensionally stable, insulates well, and doesn't require painting or sealing.

All of our wood is sustainably harvested and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified.
