Design & Digital Marketing Manager

We are seeking a creative Design & Digital Marketing Manager  well versed in graphic design and online marketing to implement and carry out design and digital marketing initiatives. This position will be responsible for collaboratively designing, implementing, and facilitating an annual marketing plan for both an e-commerce and retail organization.This is a great opportunity for a marketing professional seeking career growth and to make an impact on bee education & health!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop overall digital marketing strategy and calendar, based on industry knowledge and perpetuating Bee Thinking as an industry leader in beekeeping
  • Coordinate website updates and implement online marketing campaigns
  • Develop promotional materials and copy for website, catalogs, blogs and/or social media
  • Submit designs to company owners for review, and make appropriate edits based on feedback until final approval
  • Perform data analysis and data validation to ensure success of promotions, communications, marketing events, partnerships and sales programs to grow sales and brand visibility
  • Have intimate knowledge of our website and through understanding of updates and site map
  • Manage small creative team, acting as liaison between company owners and team members to deliver project outlines and expectations
  • Shoot product photography and edit photos (remove backgrounds, basic lighting fixes) for website, social media, and promotions
  • Design packaging as needed and provide digital artwork for certain branded products
  • Design in-store signage for events, classes, sales, etc.

Qualifications:

  • BA in marketing, graphic design, art, or journalism
  • 2 years experience working in graphic design
  • 1 year management experience
  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Photoshop
  • Adept photographer
  • Must be detail oriented and organized
  • Ability to operate under pressure, prioritize, manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Familiarity with best printing practices and ability to produce print-ready files
  • Basic HTML knowledge is a plus
  • Experience with Shopify or Mailchimp is a plus

Mill Assistant

We are seeking a Mill Assistant to support the Bee Thinking Team. This person will join the Bee Thinking production team to assist with clean up, dust removal, and miscellaneous tasks. This is a part time position needed at our warehouse location and reports to the Mill Production Manager.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Haul dust & shavings from machinery to dumpster
  • Assist in cleaning & maintaining machinery during operating hours to ensure smooth production schedule
  • Load & unload materials from trucks to shop floor
  • Carry out various miscellaneous tasks that keeps the mill clean, safe, and efficient
  • Help with assembly, packaging, and shipping of hives on as-needed basis
  • Fill in as necessary into roles according to strengths and abilities

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, or equivalent
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours a day in a mill setting with loud noises, dust, and large equipment
  • Flexibility in schedule (switching between day shifts and evening shifts may be required)

  Mill Production Associate

We are seeking a Mill Associate to support the Bee Thinking Team. This person will join the Bee Thinking production team to help manufacture woodenware. This position is needed at our warehouse location and reports to the Mill Production Supervisor. We are looking for a responsible, detail-oriented, versatile, and efficient person for this position. A passion for saving the bees and bee culture is a plus!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the manufacturing and assembly of hive and hive components and other related woodenware
  • Under direction of the Mill Production Supervisor, prepare and set up machines and tooling for CNC woodwork manufacturing
  • Help with problem solving for design solutions and provide design input on products
  • Use and maintain saws, milling, sanding equipment and various hand tools
  • Ensure that products meet Bee Thinking quality standards and project specifications, making adjustments as necessary
  • Fill in as necessary into roles according to strengths and abilities

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, or equivalent
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours a day in a mill setting with loud noises, dust, and large equipment

Warehouse Associate

We are seeking a Warehouse Associate to support the Bee Thinking Team. This person will join the Bee Thinking shipping team to help pack and ship hives and other bee related items. This position is needed at our warehouse location and reports to the Warehouse Manager. We are looking for a responsible, detail-oriented, versatile, and efficient person for this position. A passion for saving the bees and bee culture is a plus! Team members will be expected to be flexible in scheduling, including having evening and Saturday & Sunday availability.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., move 70 lbs. and load/unload trucks using forklift required
  • Experience operating basic power hand tools required
  • Physical agility to conduct warehouse inventory when required
  • Must be able to read, write, spell, compute basic math equations and communicate verbally
  • Extreme attention to detail and quality
  • Strong work ethic and ability to meet packing/production quotas
  • Ability to work long hours and triage orders during busy season
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Forklift/stacker experience preferred
