Jacket Sizing

Small: 46"-48" chest (Fits most people 5'0"-5'7", 110-145lb)

Medium: 50"-52" chest (Fits most people 5'5"-5-9", 135-165lb)

Large: 54"-56" chest (Fits most people 5'8"-6'1", 155-200lb)

Extra Large: 58" -60" chest (Fits most people 6'+, 230lb+)

Extra Extra Large: 62"-64" chest (Fits most people 6'0"-6'5", 200-250lb)

Jackets should not fit snugly. You will want some room inside the jacket should a honey bee end up inside with you!

Glove Sizing

Gloves size is determined by measuring across the knuckles, not including the thumb (I.E. the widest point of the palm). You want your gloves to fit snugly as the leather will stretch slightly over time.

2 1/2" - 2 3/4" Extra Small

3" - 3 1/8" Small

3 1/4" - 3 5/8" Medium

3 3/4" - 4" Large

4 1/4" - 4 1/2" Extra Large

We purchased the flow hive

We purchased the flow hive and the starter kit. We won't be able to populate the hive before spring, but so far we have been very happy with the equipment. Thank you.

I'm new at beekeeping and

I'm new at beekeeping and this is a useful kit. I upgraded to the ventilated jacket and I'm glad I did because I can heat up fast here in southern California but the breeze moves through the ventilated fabric. I use the smoker very little but it works well. The lovey hand-made hive tool is useful in many ways and perfect for a top bar hive. The gloves are a little too thick for me. I feel safe in them but clumsy. I've gotten comfortable enough with my bees that I often wear only one glove and have one bare hand for things requiring dexterity. Customer service at Beethinking has been awesome!
