Happy Feet Workshop

  |

Tuition $20 + Materials $15

Sandal weather is finally upon us! A long winter of damp wool socks and boots can really take its toll. Before baring your soles for everyone to see, show your feet some love. Hive products, including honey and wax, have amazing antiseptic and healing properties for our skin, both of which are beneficial to dry, cracked feet.

Join Bee Thinking for a “happy feet” workshop, where we will be making an herbal foot soak, honey foot scrub, and wax foot balms. Each participant will leave with jars of all 3 concoctions.

When: Saturday, April 15, 2017 3pm-5pm

Where: Bee Thinking, 1744 SE Hawthorne Blvd.

About your instructor: Emma Egstad has been crafting with honey and wax for 6 years, and keeping bees for about as long. She now manages the Bee Thinking apiary and runs Bee & Bloom, an educational resource for beekeeping and sustainable living. As a self-proclaimed DIY evangelist, she puts a focus on making naturally-minded living accessible to a broad range of ages and interests - making your own medicine and body care isn’t only for the hippies among us!

Sugar Pine is our value wood option. Beautiful, strong, takes paint or sealant well, and is more stable and lighter than more common ponderosa pine.

Western Red Cedar is our premium wood option. It is rot resistant, dimensionally stable, insulates well, and doesn't require painting or sealing.

All of our wood is sustainably harvested and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified.
