Ventilated Gloves

32   |

These leather beekeeping gloves feature ventilation just above the wrist, which is a lifesaver on a hot day in the apiary! Thick cowhide leather protects against stings, yet is soft enough to provide good feeling when working through your hive. We get these gloves custom made and use them in our own apiary.

Gloves size is determined by measuring across the knuckles, not including the thumb (I.E. the widest point of the palm). You want your gloves to fit snugly as the leather will stretch slightly over time.

2 1/2" - 2 3/4" Extra Small

3" - 3 1/8" Small

3 1/4" - 3 5/8" Medium

3 3/4" - 4" Large

4 1/4" - 4 1/2" Extra Large

4 5/8" - 5" Extra Extra Large

Bee Ventilated Gloves

The gloves were well made and are ventilated. My problem is that they are sized for men so even the small does not fit my hands well, especially the ends of the fingers. They need to have women's sizes. I am using them and other than the sizing, they are wonderful!

Finally found the perfect gloves

I have tried 4 different pair of gloves trying to find the gloves that would work best for me and my bees. My bees are quite defensive and regularly target my hands (my only stings have been on the hand). My first pair of German made goatskin gloves ripped in the palm on my first use (probably my fault). I tried some Cotton gloves that were just too thick and they made lifting frames impossible. I have a pair of heavy neoprene gloves that are sting proof but, again they are bulky and difficult to use. My new ventilated leather gloves from beethinking are the perfect blend of toughness and flexibility. The leather is supple enough to feel what I am doing, yet strong enough to handle the work load. I haven't been stung through them "yet". I don't think they are sting proof but they are a good balance of thickness and flex. They will show up soon on my "Running Dog Apiary" YouTube channel. I would highly recommend them. I bought a pair for each of my kids. Thanks, for a great product!
